Umut Alkım Tuncer is a Turkish citizen born in 1988. After obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree on Translation & Interpretation at Hacettepe University in 2009, he started working as an editor at April Publishing and also translated a novel into Turkish for that company. In 2011, he was recuited to the public transport authority and operator of Istanbul, General Directorate of IETT. For a short period he accompanied Turkey’s 1st Minister of Youth and Sports as a consultant. He is currently studying Urban Systems and Transportation Management at Bahçeşehir University and Innovative Governance of Large Urban Systems at Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Laussane.
