Born in Ankara in 1959, Tunç Soyer was selected as Mayor of Seferihisar. Soyer has introduced Cittaslow -an international local development model- to Turkey and spread it in all geographical regions. He completed his studies in Law School of Ankara University with a high degree. He holds two master degrees in “International Relations” from Webster University in Switzerland and “European Union” from Dokuz Eylül University. Prior to his mayorship, the worked in various positions like Mayor Counselor, International Relationship Manager and Secretary General of Izmir Chamber of Commerce, and Secretary General of the Committee of Direction and Committee of Execution for EXPO 2015 Izmir.
