Yasin Başar completed his studies in Seattle, USA and Montreux, Switzerland. In 2008 he received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration (Hons) degree from SHMS – Northwood University. He has worked at international organisations as financial auditor and marketing functions in different Swiss cities. He moved to Dubai, UAE in 2010 and worked for FHR Holdings Inc, Living Social and Mosaic Consulting and completed market research projects on Middle East region as well as management consultancy fields. In 2016, he joined Brussels based International Association of Public Transport (UITP), (non-profit advocacy organisation). Mr. Başar is responsible for managing UITP Turkey projects and works at UITP’s global working group called UITP Taxi Platform. Currently he is working on global taxi benchmarking study, EU consortiums, reports and research projects focusing on the challenges and solutions of the public transport sector. Mr. Başar is passionate about urban mobility and advocates for public transport development and sustainable mobility.
