Serge PERRIN is Head of the local authorities & urban development unit at the AFD Representative Office in Istanbul since September 2014. After several years of experience in higher education and research (EU Science & Technology Programme in South Korea, Institut français des relations internationales, Ecole nationale des ponts et chaussées), he joined the AFD group in 2002 where he held successively the position of Economist in the Research Department and in the Sub-Saharan Africa Department. Prior to his current assignment in Turkey, he was in charge of water and energy projects in Jordan. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Paris 1-Panthéon-Sorbonne.
