Sarika is a Sr. Consultant at EMBARQ India and is based in Delhi. She coordinates and manages various project and activities in the Delhi region. Sarika is a co-founder of the Raahgiri Day, India’s first car free day movement that started in Gurgaon, a suburb of Delhi in November 2013. Raahgiri Day has become hugely popular in India and has already been replicated in 6 more cities in the planning phase. Sarika is helping to replicate this hugely successful concept. She has about 12 years of experience in the field of urban developments, transport and architecture and has been involved in various projects around Master Planning, City Development Plan, Comprehensive Mobility Plan, Planning of New Townships etc. Sarika has been formally trained as an architect and urban planner. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Master’s degree in Planning with an additional Master’s degree in Sociology.
