Manager Charging Infrastructure, Amsterdam Region

Pieter Looijestijn is the project manager charging infrastructure for the Amsterdam region. Since 2012 he has been one of the driving forces region behind  a both pragmatic and ambitious approach in the transition to zero emission mobility. In his position as project manager charging infrastructure his main responsibility is for the ev-drivers in the region to have access to reliable and state of the art charging infrastructure. This requires him to have in-depth knowledge on the performance of the charging infrastructure and the needs of the cooperating municipalities, market players and ev-drivers. An important achievements in this role is having had over 4.000 public interoperable charge points installed through a demand-driven system, with a growth rate of 200 per month. The experience and insights he gains as project manager are actively shared in EU projects such as EVroaming4EU and IDACS and he has recently joined a Horizon project ons smart and inductive  charging. Pieter has a masters degree in International Public Administration from the University of Leiden (NL).
