Born in Brazil, Marisa Cruz earned her degree as a chemist from Murray State University in the USA. Since starting with Evonik and its predecessor companies in 1997, she has worked at various production sites in Brazil, USA and Germany where she played an important role in strategic projects. In 2010, Marisa became Marketing Manager of the Road Marking business of Evonik Industries AG where she has unceasingly worked towards the diffusion of best practices in road signaling worldwide and on the development of communication tools for the clarification and dissemination of Life Cycle Assessment considerations. In 2011, Marisa joined the IRF Environment Committee where she chairs the sub-committee Police. Privately, Marisa serves as a Board Director to a Swiss not-for profit organization engaged in lowering poverty in low and middle income countries.
