He graduated from Uludag University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Biology in 1993. He worked as a teacher in the Ministry of National Education for two years. Then, He worked for the Undersecretariat of Maritime Affairs for 13 years, In this period He worked on the prevention of marine and air pollution caused by ships, protection of marine natural environment and biodiversity conservation, management and planning of coastal areas, oil pollution and emergency response planning and trainings.
For the last 9 years, He has been worked for Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, General Directorate of Foreign Relations and European Union, Department of Environment and Energy Efficiency, He has been involved in increasing energy efficiency in transportation, protecting the environment, monitoring, calculating and reducing emissions from transportation and has participated in numerous national and international congresses, symposiums, seminars, commission meetings and projects
