DR. SERDAR KOYUNCU

Head of Climate Change and Zero Waste Department, Konya Metropolitan Municipality

Dr. Serdar Koyuncu was born in 1975 in Ankara. After completing primary, secondary, and high school, he studied at Selcuk University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Mathematics. He completed his undergraduate education at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Environmental Engineering, and graduated in 1997 as an Environmental Engineer. He completed his master’s and doctoral studies in the Department of Environmental Engineering at the Selçuk University Institute of Science and received the title of Doctor of Engineering in 2014.

Since 2014, he has been working as a Project Manager (PIU) on 2 wastewater treatment plant projects carried out with European Union (EU) Funds.

Since 2022, he has been working as the Head of Climate Change and Zero Waste Department in Konya Metropolitan Municipality. He carries out many studies in the fields of environmental technology and environmental sciences, such as Global Climate Change, Green Energy Management, Zero Waste Practices, Waste Management, Ecology, etc.

Dr. Serdar Koyuncu also works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Environmental Engineering at Konya Necmettin Erbakan University.
