Güneş Cansız is the Director of WRI Türkiye, where she leads a team of professionals working on the implementation projects in Turkey.
Prior to joining WRI, she managed projects inside and outside Turkey funded by the Open Society Foundation, Texas Civil Registry, European Union, Development Agencies, and USAID. Güneş brings more than 10 years of NGO project experience to WRI Türkiye Sustainable Cities. She provides strategic management to sustainable cities work in Turkey.
Güneş holds a degree in Management from Istanbul University, an MBA from Marmara University, and a PhD in European Union Economics from Marmara University. She has also completed the European Union Program and the European Union, Integration and NGO’s Program from Istanbul Bilgi University.
