Burcu graduated from Kocaeli University Environmental Engineering and started her career in 2000 as HSSE Engineer in Shell Company of Turkey Derince facilities. With the Joint Venture structure in 2006, she worked as Retail HSSE Advisor (3 years), Commercial Fleet HSSE advisor (2 years). In 2011, she became Downstream Global Commercial MED Sales & Marketing HSSE Advisor and in 2014 added MECAS Sales & Marketing HSSE Advisor responsibilities on top of her current role. Since May 2016, she has been working as Downstream MED Cluster Road Safety Lead where she leads the overall assurance programme for all road transport activities including people and goods transport as well as all assurance activities in order to make sure that all parties act in accordance with Shell Rules and country regulations.
